This BWM Drill Bench Acceptance checklist helps mining teams verify a bench is ready for drilling and blasting. It covers pre-work requirements such as drill prep maps, survey files or KML, and the 72-hour handover. Field checks include remaining earthworks, bund heights and limits, standoff bunding under walls or terraces, access suitability for service carts and blasting equipment, steep sections and possible terracing, and bench drainage. It also reviews pumping or pipework on the bench, cables and crossovers or towers, float move access, and geotechnical hazards with recommended controls. Separation bunding, cross fall and slope, grading, and free-draining conditions are assessed. Final section includes partial or full sign-off and confirmations that the bench meets drill agreement criteria, with sign-offs by the Drill Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, and Blasting Supervisor.
