Mining Mobile Equipment Pre Delivery Inspection
by Carl Neudorf, from the Community
Use this pre delivery inspection checklist for mining mobile equipment to verify readiness before shipment or site commissioning. Review engine and cooling systems, torque converter, transmission, electrical systems at 12 or 24 volts, hydraulics, and braking performance. Record idle speeds, oil pressures, temperatures, and charge pressures. Inspect differential, driveline, wheels and tires, and ensure correct torques and tire pressures. Check drifter and attachments, operator controls, emergency stops, remote controls, and the automatic grease system. Flush water systems for cold weather shipping. Confirm safety equipment such as fire suppression, beacons, seat belts, guards, labels, tow hooks, chocks, and anti skid materials. Complete documentation and signatures from site representative, mechanic, supervisor, and director.
