Use this comprehensive hazard hunt checklist to identify and control workplace risks. Verify general conditions, slips and trips, grating, stairs and handrails, and ladder safety. Check chemical labeling and storage, availability and maintenance of firefighting and lifesaving equipment, and ensure escape routes are clear. Inspect lighting, electrical junction boxes and wiring, machinery guards and safety devices. Review lifting gear condition, SWL markings and color codes; remove drop-object hazards, sharp edges, and pinch points. Assess temperature extremes, hazardous substances, PPE availability, and MSDS access. Confirm fall protection needs, anchor points, and fixed systems. Ensure eyewash stations and first aid kits are accessible, warning signs are legible with correct pictograms, pressure vessel relief valves are certified, housekeeping is satisfactory, waste segregation is followed with properly marked bins, and packaging remains fit for purpose.
