Use this PUWER equipment risk assessment checklist to evaluate machinery safety and compliance. Cover operator competency and training, suitable location and access, electrical safety including isolators, controls, PAT testing, and emergency stops. Verify guarding and interlocks, control entrapment and ejected parts, ensure adequate lighting, and protect against hot surfaces. Review chemical management with SDS and COSHH risk assessments, and fire precautions. Note use of blades or sharps. Confirm equipment operates within design limits, review modification records, and plan safe maintenance with LOTO or safe systems of work. Check CE marking and manufacturer documentation.
