This pre-operational check sheet helps operators verify a cross cut saw is safe and ready for woodworking tasks. Inspect housekeeping around the saw, test the emergency stop to ensure the blade stops within 10 seconds, confirm LEV dust extraction works, and check the saw is level and secured. Review power cords, guards and safety devices, correct blade type, rip or crosscut fence, push stick availability, no hands markings, adequate lighting, and required PPE before every use.
