Internal Audit: Consultation and Participation
by Patrick O'Donnell, from the Community
This internal audit checklist supports assessing how an organization consults and engages its workforce within a company management system. It covers evidence of informal and formal consultation methods, the presence of representatives for quality, health, safety, and environment matters, and whether participation is a two way exchange of information. Prompts help verify worker feedback on hazards and processes that could lead to nonconforming product, review training and incident investigations, and track updates to standard operating procedures and work instructions. The form includes sections for findings, opportunities for improvement, and sign off by both auditor and auditee.
