5S Red Tag Area Review Checklist

Use this 5S Red Tag area review checklist to perform routine audits of assigned zones and keep workplaces organized. The template guides a walkthrough of the designated area, review of all equipment and locations, and identification of items that do not belong or meet standards. Add a red tag with full details to each noncompliant item, check the Red Tag quarantine area for removal or reallocation, and record the number of items moved. Inspect the condition of equipment, raise work orders or notify responsible parties, attach photos for evidence, and capture the auditor’s name and signature. Ideal for lean manufacturing and continuous improvement teams implementing the Sort phase of 5S.
