ART Tool Manual Handling Repetitive Task Assessment

Use the ART Tool checklist to evaluate repetitive manual handling tasks and identify musculoskeletal risk. Record arm movement frequency, level of force, and posture of head, back, arms and wrists. Capture work pace, continuous work duration and contributing factors such as gloves, vibration, cold, lighting, tool use and precision demands. Calculate a Duration Multiplier and Task Score to produce an Exposure Score and a Low, Medium or High risk level. Add photos, confirm normal duties, and capture assessor and worker details with signatures and comments.
