This WHS inspection checklist helps hospitality teams assess housekeeping areas across hotels and similar venues. Review laundry rooms, corridors, housekeeping offices, and storage to prevent slips, trips, and falls. Verify emergency readiness, signage, extinguishers, exits, evacuation diagrams, and staff training. Check electrical safety, test and tag status, machinery condition, hazardous chemicals with current safety data sheets, PPE availability, and correct storage and labeling. Evaluate ergonomics, ladders and working at height, manual handling controls, key security, visitor management, lighting, ventilation, and first aid. Capture notes, photos, and sign off to drive compliance and corrective actions.
