This Utilities (UM) Environment of Care checklist helps hospitals audit critical utilities and safety systems. It covers electrical device safety, adequate and labeled receptacles, use of emergency power, GFCI in wet areas, safe power strip use, and task lighting at generators and transfer switches. Verify hot water temperatures (105–120 F), required pressure relationships, and that mechanical/electrical spaces are free of combustibles. Check firestopping, sprinkler components, exit signage visibility, and battery-powered egress lighting. Includes space for additional comments.
