Safety Fire Drill Self-Assessment Checklist
by Fadi Abusubhia, from the Community
This Safety Fire Drill self assessment checklist helps workplaces, especially healthcare facilities, plan and evaluate fire drills. It covers alarm use and reporting, locating and operating extinguishers, applying PASS and RACE procedures, confining fire and closing doors, preparing for evacuation, and roles and responsibilities. It also checks knowledge of oxygen shut off valves, drill announcements, movement to areas of refuge, and horizontal or vertical evacuation sequences. Use it to capture findings, pass or fail results, and sign off to strengthen emergency preparedness.
