Safety and Wellbeing Assurance Check

This Safety and Wellbeing Assurance Check template helps care homes and community services validate key safety practices and staff wellbeing systems. It covers consultation and communication, visibility of required safety posters, progress notes and reviews, shift handover processes, lone working controls, and environmental hazard scans. It also addresses occupational violence risk management, TRAM mobility planning and equipment, manual handling training and competence, slips, trips and falls, lighting, and footwear. Mental health support is included through psychosocial risk assessments, awareness of the Mental Health First Aider network, and use of the Employee Assistance Program. Training and safety management plan compliance checks are also included to drive continuous improvement.
