Description

The purpose of the Health and Safety Compliance Audit is to determine the current standard of Work Health and Safety Management Systems (WHSMS) within Churches of Christ in Queensland workplaces. The review was undertaken based upon criteria set out in Australian Standard AS/NZS 4801:2001 "Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems" which is a specification that establishes a framework for internal audits to assess compliance. All other relevant industry specific health and safety legislation such as: Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011, Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 and Australian Standards were included in development of this audit criteria. Workplaces that do not meet compliance in any of the following elements are required to develop an action plan to address issues identified within the audit. The auditor will provide recommendations and advice to assist with this process.
