Chemical Storage and Dosing Site Inspection Checklist
by HWC Treatment Operations, from the Community
This checklist supports inspections of chemical storage, containment, and dosing systems at water and wastewater treatment facilities. It covers due diligence checks, leak detection on pipework and flexible hoses, double-contained pipe supports, signage and color coding, tank stability and protection, spill kits, and bund integrity and drainage. Items include condition of valves, level indicators, epoxy coatings, rainwater in bunds, and evidence of spills. It also addresses delivery bunds, tanker discharge controls, and chlorine-specific safety, such as windsocks and leak detector testing. Inspectors can add site photos, note weather conditions, record comments, and recommend actions for compliance and safety.
