Chemical Safety Inspection Checklist 2023
by Michael Sandberg, from the Community
Use this chemical safety inspection checklist to evaluate SDS availability and revision dates, verify GHS compliant labels on IBCs, dosing tanks and pumps, and confirm clear identification of chemical lines. Review line security, double walled hoses, corrosion, and anti splash guards. Inspect bunding and tank storage for capacity, cleanliness, leaks, and level gauges. Check transfer equipment, hoses, and electrical labeling. Verify housekeeping, spill kits, PPE storage, emergency showers and eyewash access, fire equipment, emergency exits, and bulk unloading identification and controls. Capture findings, best practices, and sign off.
