Use this UPS inspection checklist to keep backup power systems safe and reliable. Inspect environment, temperature, dust, and ventilation. Tighten input and output connections, circuit breakers, and terminal posts. Check cabling for abrasions or burns and look for overheating, swelling, or leaks on components and PCBs. Open and inspect cabinets, remove foreign objects, and gently vacuum interiors; never clean UPS subassemblies. Clean exterior panels with mild solutions and restore covers securely. Run system diagnostics, resolve outstanding issues, review operations with staff, and document recommendations and actions.
