This utility truck inspection checklist helps line crews and fleet managers document daily vehicle and equipment checks. Sections cover lifting and rigging gear such as chain hoists, nylon strap hoists, wire grips, hand lines, block and tackle, sling ropes, and transformer gin. It includes testing and inspection of live line tools including link sticks, fuse sticks, and fiberglass sticks, as well as line hose, blankets, and hoods. Vehicle systems and safety items are addressed including lights, horn, wipers, reflectors, gauges, signs, winch and auger components, hydraulic hoses and connections, tires, seat belts, spare fuses, windows, exhaust, tie downs, wheel chocks, cones, AED, battery, and truck grounds.
