Use this audit template to evaluate how hazardous substances and fuels are stored, handled, transported, and disposed of in line with Australian standards such as AS 1940:2004. Confirm dedicated bunded storage, signage, setbacks from watercourses and wetlands, and proper washdown bay design with water recirculation. Verify bunded storage for liquids and wastes, trained spill response, and contaminated soil management. Ensure listed wastes are recorded, removed by licensed handlers, and transported by licensed trucks to approved facilities.

Use this operational process confirmation checklist to verify hazardous chemicals are stored, handled, transported, and disposed of safely. Assess pre‑purchase HSE reviews, maintain chemical registers, ensure SDS availability, and complete risk assessments. Check storage controls, segregation of incompatibles, labeling and placarding, and health surveillance needs. Confirm emergency planning for spills, fires, and injuries; training and PPE; manifests and licenses; spill containment and bunding; firefighting readiness; eyewash/shower testing; and compliant waste disposal.
