This COSHH audit checklist helps teams assess how hazardous substances are managed on site. Verify chemical inventories, control of chemical entry, and availability of safety data sheets and COSHH risk assessments at point of use. Check bunded storage, secure and correctly labelled containers, segregation of incompatible chemicals, and proper handling of waste. Confirm PPE availability and use, operator awareness of hazards, spill response readiness, and presence of spill kits. Inspect gas bottle storage and regulators, flammable cabinets, and container seals. Review first aiders’ details, first aid and eyewash condition and expiry, and fire-fighting equipment and training across work areas.
