Monthly RCEC Substation Inspection Checklist
by Chad Ledbetter, from the Community
This monthly substation inspection checklist helps RCEC and utility teams standardize inspections across multiple sites. Review feeders and equipment including bushings, bypass switches, and lightning arresters. Record load amps on phases A, B, and C, capture operations and target counter readings, and reset as needed. Verify DC systems with battery voltage found and load tests, and confirm charger status. Include site security checks such as gates and fences. Use the checklist to generate a PDF report and email results as required for compliance and reliability tracking.
