Lineman Body Belt, Safety Strap and Climber Inspection
by JOHNNA NUNEMAKER, from the Community
This quarterly inspection checklist helps utility lineworkers assess the condition of body belts, safety straps and climbers to maintain safe field operations. It guides inspectors through checks of D-rings, buckles, leather, webbing, stitching, rivets, tool loops and rings, as well as safety straps and holsters. The climber section includes leg irons, adjustment sleeves, gaffs, ankle straps, protectors and pads. Use this template to document findings and ensure equipment remains compliant and ready for use.
