Heat Pump Survey and Site Assessment

This heat pump survey checklist guides assessors through a complete residential site assessment for air source heat pump installations. Record property type, occupancy, bedrooms and bathrooms, and document the existing heating system with photos. Verify water pressure and flow rate, insulation levels, and window glazing. Capture electrical details including fuse board specs, main fuse and cut-out ratings, MPAN, smart meter, and electricity cost. Measure cylinder cupboard dimensions and note if replacements are needed. Plan ASHP location, bracket type, soakaway, trunking, boundary clearance, and distances to neighboring rooms, with required photos. Conduct room-by-room measurements to size radiators and identify removals, including storage heaters. Include bathroom shower compatibility, flooring and decor responsibilities, job requirements, and floor plan. Finish with surveyor and customer declarations and signatures.
