Winter and Spring Break Program Readiness Checklist
by Leigh Bishop, from the Community
Ensure K-12 program readiness for winter and spring breaks with a comprehensive checklist covering license compliance, staff file requirements, DCD verification forms, emergency medical care plans, CPR and First Aid credentials, allergy and medical needs lists, registration and medication logs, and parent sign-in/out. Prepare communication notebooks, confirm snack and lunch counts, sort curriculum and materials by day and group, finalize student and staff rosters and name tags, post daily and gym/playground schedules, and display required signage. Remind school administrators and custodians about hosting duties and hours of operation to ensure a smooth, compliant break program.
