This NCPS Gardening Workshop safety checklist helps schools and facilitators verify that workshop areas and storage are safe and compliant. It covers storage of materials, chemical management with current safety data sheets, segregation of fuels and fertilizers, ventilation and lighting, machine guarding, condition of manual tools and ladders, electrical cords and test and tag status, availability and storage of PPE including sun protection, fire extinguisher type and access, evacuation planning, and first aid facilities with eyewash. Use it to identify hazards, confirm controls, and document any additional issues observed.
