Electrical Work Safety Inspection Checklist
by Henno Ferreira, from the Community
This electrical work safety inspection template helps supervisors and inspectors verify critical site controls and compliance. It covers JobSTART and isolation permits, ensuring only licensed electricians perform tasks, and requires a demonstrated test for dead. The checklist checks RCD protection across circuits and generators, regular testing and tagging, suspended and protected leads, clear switch identification, and removal of defective tools. It reinforces lockout tagout with master and individual locks, clearly identified isolation points, compliant temporary distribution boards with signage and weatherproofing, lockable boards for isolation, and circuit maps on main boards. Includes sign-off for the inspection team.
