Wet Area Inspection Checklist

Use this wet area inspection template to assess bathrooms, laundries, and toilets before waterproofing. Verify substrate condition and falls, primer application, membrane type, and bond breaker selection. Check shower angle or water stop, drainage openings, and that screeds are sound with required fall ratio of 1:100. Confirm priming of PVC penetrations, bandaging or fillet joints at wall and floor junctions, and sealing around tap and toilet penetrations. Ensure membrane extends into the drainage flange, covers door jambs, and meets height requirements around showers and baths. Record micrometer thickness readings at a minimum of five points and capture photo evidence of works before and after. This checklist helps document compliance and quality for wet areas.
