Use this OSHA-focused inspection checklist to certify chain, wire rope, synthetic web, and fiber rope slings at least once every 12 months. Record sling IDs, ratings, sizes, and original length; assess link wear, deformation, corrosion, cuts, heat damage, stitches, and knots. Confirm tag legibility and configurations, check end fittings for wear and throat opening, and verify overall length within 5 percent stretch. Capture inspector name and signature for documentation.
