Web Sling and Round Sling Inspection Checklist
by Jane Pinfold, from the Community
Use this checklist to inspect web slings and round slings for safe lifting operations. Conduct monthly checks and visual inspections before each use to identify wear, abrasion, cuts, burns, chemical or UV damage, broken stitching, knots, corrosion, and damaged fittings. Record equipment details, site and location, and mark defective slings as do not use. Remove unsafe slings from service, document how they were taken out of circulation, and raise actions to archive them in your asset system. This template helps standardize lifting accessories inspections and support safety compliance.
