by Michael Kostruba, from the Community
This TRC General Construction Safety Audit checklist helps supervisors and auditors systematically review site safety. It covers HASP availability, site control and signage, briefings, and verification of competent and qualified personnel. Sections address electrical safety for low and high voltage work, excavation and trenching, fall protection, fire prevention, hand and power tools, ladders, lifting and rigging with cranes, material handling and forklifts, motor vehicles and DOT requirements, and comprehensive PPE checks. Additional modules include scaffolding, welding and cutting with hot work controls, and work zone traffic management. The form provides space for documenting other hazards, comments, and required signatures.
