Elevator Critical Dimensions Site Survey
by Doug Applewhite, from the Community
This elevator site survey checklist helps installers and contractors capture all critical dimensions and conditions before installation. Document pit depth, hoistway width and depth, rough openings, sump, sprinkler and discharge locations, and strike-side requirements. Record power supply specs, machine room details, number of stops, hoisting beam and rail bracket support, access and staging considerations, and required clearances. Add photos, notes, and sign-offs to confirm install readiness.
