Use this mobile gantry jobsite inspection checklist to assess site access, staging areas, and assembly requirements before lifting. Verify that a competent person supervises setup and disassembly, the selected gantry meets load capacity and reach, and rigging gear (wire rope, chain hoists, slings, spreader bars) is certified and defect-free. Inspect masts, beams, nuts, bolts, plates, casters, wheels and brakes, and confirm a stable, level surface with outriggers as required. Plan lift routes to minimize exposure to suspended loads and put controls in place: barricades, tag lines, spotters, warning devices, and qualified riggers and signal persons. Document daily pre-lift meetings and shift-change inspections to improve compliance and safety performance.
