This Safe Work Method Statement provides step by step guidance to install, replace, and test electrical safety devices such as RCDs and smoke alarms. It includes a Take 5 risk assessment, PPE requirements, isolating and locking out power, switchboard inspection, testing procedures and trip time recording, replacement steps for failed devices, reinstatement of covers and supply, and tool calibration checks. Controls address electrocution, arcing, manual handling, trip hazards, and ladder use, with references to AS/NZS 4836 and AS/NZS 3017. Verification and sign off are included.
