SERS Dilapidation Survey Checklist

This SERS Dilapidation Survey checklist helps assess and record a property’s condition prior to external wall insulation or other works. Capture photos of each elevation and note property type, construction, DPC location, and wall thickness. Document services and utilities including soil and vent pipes, rainwater downpipes, waste and overflow pipes, meters, cables, and external fixtures. Verify ventilation, extractor fans, boiler flues, PRV and condensate routes. Check insulation levels, asbestos survey availability, planning or conservation constraints, and required tests or fire breaks. Confirm compliance with supplier specifications and building regulations before proceeding.
