Use this Risk Assessment and Method Statement RAMS template to plan safe work on construction and engineering sites. Capture the scope of work, access methods such as scaffolds, ladders, or lifts, and workplace security controls including barriers, signage, and a second person. Record hazardous substances and COSHH considerations, site power and isolation, and other hazards with corresponding control measures. Document the full method statement, coordination roles, and communication tools. Assess traffic routes and floor conditions, housekeeping, storage, and waste disposal. Specify required PPE and fall protection. Note training, inductions, certifications, and supervision levels. Include local fire plans, welfare arrangements, and clear emergency and rescue procedures. On completion, ensure removal of equipment, inspections, site walkthrough, and tidy handover.
