Use this Brick and Blockwork Quality Assurance checklist to standardize masonry inspections on site. Capture photos of sample panels, verify setting out, alignment, and joint tolerances, and check brick slips, wall plates, padstones, and fire barriers. Confirm structural openings, cavity closers, lintels including prefabricated, air bricks and ventilation, DPC and cavity trays, weep holes, wall ties, cavity cleaning and insulation, and movement joints. Record mortar mix and color, protect facework, complete housekeeping, and sign off with approvals.

Use this brick and blockwork checklist to assess quality and safety on site. Review setting out and bond, line, level, plumb, and gauge. Confirm full joints and correct pointing, correct mortar mixes and batching, clean and correct cavity widths, proper location of ties, insulation, and DPCs. Verify openings and lintels, cavity trays, and protection of materials and completed work. Record mortar cube samples, check cleanliness of the face, and prepare the area for following trades. Brickwork Quality Inspection Checklist (Level 1)
Use this Level 1 brickwork quality inspection to confirm setting out to current architectural drawings, check window and door openings for width, height and plumb, and verify coursing, perp joints and permitted tolerances. Inspect movement joints, cavity ties and brick reinforcement, and confirm lintel installation and bearing as specified. Verify Keyfix cavity trays and movement ties, weep vents, and insulation (Rainscreen Duo Slab) fit, spacing and continuity. Check brick tie channels, compression sleeves, and masonry support locations, bolt torque and pull-out testing. Confirm fire and cavity barriers (Siderise) are approved, correctly fixed, sealed and tightly abutted, with non-combustible DPC where required. Optional stonework checks included. Finish with cavity cleanliness, site tidiness, notes and sign-offs for Callan Construction and the principal contractor.
