This pre-task crane checklist helps crews complete critical lifting checks before using cranes or hoists on construction sites. Sections cover load details, total lift weight, radius and boom length; JHA completion and pre-lift meetings; training verification and licenses; weather and wind shutdown thresholds; communication and signaling procedures; rigging inspection and tag line use; ground conditions, outriggers and mats; barricades and exclusion zones; designated spotter; power-line clearance; and final sign-offs from operator, foreman, and safety personnel.
