Use this pre site inspection checklist to plan gas utility and street works before mobilization. Capture site details, prior works evidence, overhead and underground services, nearby substations and governors, section 58 issues, bus routes, special surface types, trees and canopies, basements, vulnerable populations and multi occupancy properties, parks and restricted access, and local businesses. Review traffic management in place including sensors, pedestrian access, parking, and suitability for large vehicles. Check proximity to rail property, seasonal embargo periods, and sites of special scientific interest. Identify specialist plant needs, required assistance from network operators such as SGN and wayleaves, and the location of the works compound including welfare, plant, and spoil storage. Record road speeds, traffic control requirements, and any footway or carriageway incursions. Add project specific mains and service information, property and surface types, note suitability for vacuum excavation, attach site photos, and complete sign off with signature, date, and location.
