Inspect supported scaffolds thoroughly before each work shift and after any event that could cause damage. This checklist guides teams to verify clearance from energized power lines, ensure proper footing with baseplates and mudsills, and assess frames, posts, and metal parts for cracks, rust, and non-compatible components. Confirm safe access (no cross-brace climbing), check scaffold-grade planks for splits, deflection, spacing, and proper overhang, and ensure platform distance to the workface is within limits. Include guardrails and mid-rails, protect people below from falling objects, and require hard hats. Use manufacturer-recommended braces, tie-ins, and guying to prevent tipping. Finish with a documented inspector sign-off for traceability.
