This Johnson Controls pre-job checklist helps crews prepare safely before work begins. It captures site details, work order, location, supervisor, and job description, then walks teams through key pre-start checks: job activities (lockout, working near live electrical, confined space, working at heights), environmental hazards (wind chill, airborne particles, vapors, heat stress, noise, lighting), body hazards (fall potential, pinch points, electric shock, slips and trips, flying particles, manual lifting, sharp objects, falling objects), and chemical hazards (MSDS review, system under pressure, burns, skin/eye irritation, inhalation, radiation). It also verifies communications (working alone, contact person), equipment readiness (lifts, forklifts, cranes, rigging, tools, scaffolds, ladders), safety barriers and signage, and emergency equipment (fire extinguisher, eyewash, safety shower, muster point). Includes space for comments.
