Safety Management Conversation Checklist
by Stefanie Steele, from the Community
This Safety Management Conversation checklist supports frontline discussions about health, safety, and environmental risks on Queensland worksites. Record your top 3 to 5 concerns such as noise, hazardous manual tasks, confined spaces, falls, high risk work including cranes or boom lifts, electrical hazards, mobile plant, pressure equipment, lifts, asbestos, hazardous chemicals, weather, fatigue, and working alone. Capture photos, identify controls using the hierarchy of controls from elimination through PPE, and verify whether these are the top site risks. Observe subcontractor activities for safe work practices and note positive HSE aspects to reinforce. Use this tool to structure conversations and improve site safety outcomes.
