This pre-use harness and lanyard inspection checklist helps workers verify the safety of fall protection equipment before use. Record site, date, and preparer details, capture harness and lanyard serial numbers and types, and note the date of the next LOLER examination. Confirm presence of certification or data tags and assess key components including webbing, stitching, D-rings and buckles, rivets and eyelets, hooks and safety latches, and any deceleration device.
