This hand and portable power tools safety checklist helps teams inspect tool condition and safe use practices in line with AFI 91-203 guidance. It covers storage and unplugging when not in use; correct use of hand tools like screwdrivers, hammers, chisels and saws; blade protection; cord and hose management; grounding and double insulation; switch controls and accidental start protection; guarding requirements for circular saws; safe setup and maintenance procedures; chain saw PPE, fueling and operating practices; and powder‑actuated tool requirements. Use it to identify defects, remove unsafe tools from service, and verify training and PPE to reduce incidents on construction and maintenance tasks.
