Fall Protection & Riggers Equipment Inspection
by Joe Golden, from the Community
Use this fall protection and riggers equipment inspection checklist to verify the condition and compliance of full body harnesses, lanyards (single and dual), self-retracting lifelines, tie-off adaptors, ropes, hooks, carabiners, and ascenders. Record manufacture dates, serial and model numbers, and owner IDs. Check labels, hardware integrity, webbing damage, corrosion, and proper operation. Confirm lifelines lock and retract correctly and that markings are legible. Note defects and remove items from service immediately. Capture inspector details, site information, and signatures to maintain safety records.
