This facility inspection checklist helps teams assess key areas of building safety and upkeep. Sections cover general safety conditions such as lighting, trip hazards, furniture, storage, sprinkler clearance, SDS access, and AED checks. Fire and electrical safety items include extinguisher mounting and monthly inspections, alarm performance, drill readiness, outlet loading, extension cord condition, and electrical panel clearance. Environmental controls address floor conditions, cleaning standards, restroom sanitation, pest control, waste management, and wall cleanliness. Egress requirements verify marked exits, functioning devices and alarms, unobstructed pathways, stair rails, signage to not readily visible exits, and adequate stairwell lighting. Maintenance checks confirm doors and locks, clean HVAC vents, intact ceilings and windows, absence of moisture or mold, and safe exterior conditions including lighting and parking areas.
