This excavator pre-start checklist helps operators inspect critical safety components and systems before use. Verify fire suppression, alarms, emergency exits, seatbelts, steps and handrails, and isolation points. Check fluid levels for engine, swing drive, hydraulics, and coolant, and look for leaks. Review conditional items including exhaust, cabin condition, booms and pins, frame cracks, wiring protection, tracks and final drives, ground engaging tools, signage, and lifting attachments. Confirm operational functions: lights, beacons, horn, A/C, travel and swing, and record hour meter readings. If any critical defects are found, lock and tag out equipment and report immediately before operation.
