Erith Health and Safety Hazard Spotting Report
by Leigh Phillips, from the Community
This construction site inspection checklist supports health, safety and environmental hazard spotting across active works. Record site details, review previous closeouts, and assess key risk areas including work at height, excavations, plant and machinery, lifting equipment and cranes, edge protection, temporary works, hot works, isolations, portable tools, MEWPs, hoarding and fencing, traffic routes, access and egress, PPE, housekeeping, environmental and public interface, and site security. Capture root causes, review SSOW and procedural compliance, check SHEQ bulletins, and sign off the inspection. Score hazards using 24 hour, 3 day, and 7 day criteria with additional points for overdue items and track positive observations to calculate an overall rating.
