This pre use equipment inspection checklist helps crews verify the condition and safety of heavy machinery before operation. It covers exterior damage, glass, steps and grab bars, tracks or tires, blade and cutting edges, hydraulic rams and hoses, lights and beacons, and machine greasing. Inspectors check engine, hydraulic, coolant and transmission fluids, belts, filters, leaks, and battery condition. Interior checks include housekeeping, operator seat and belt, gauges and switches, alarms and horns, wipers, manuals, and fire extinguisher status with photo capture. Function tests validate backup alarms, lights, drive, steer, boom raise and lower, extend and retract, auxiliary power, and emergency stops. Variants include excavators, loaders, dozers, aerial lifts, generators and light plants, compressors, forklifts, trucks and UTVs, with prompts to log hours, document defects, and create actions for issues to ensure safe and compliant operation.
