This foundation and slab inspection checklist supports code enforcement and quality control for new builds. It verifies correct setout to plans and FFL, use and condition of damp-proof membrane, clean rebar, proper grade and placement, and correct thickening dimensions and locations. It covers ground beams, pads under SHS or point loads, mesh and chairs for adequate cover, plumbing stub-ups and sleeved drainage, reinforcement bends and clearances, and electrical rough-in including kitchen island. Optional Hotedge installation types and joinery rebates are checked against guides. Inspectors can capture photo evidence of non-compliance and record signatures from the building inspector and subcontractor.
