This DS8 Site Risk Assessment Checklist helps field staff assess site safety before starting work. It guides users to confirm documentation is in place, evaluate parking and site access, check that contractors are working safely, and verify ladders and scaffolding inspections. It also prompts PAT testing status, equipment condition, worker training and toolbox talks, fall prevention, isolation of live services, and controls for groundworks and excavations. The checklist ensures suitable PPE and RPE are available, hazardous substances are identified and controlled, and any other safety impacts are addressed. If any critical items are not met, work must not proceed and a supervisor or manager should be informed immediately.
