This Daily Safety Observation template helps teams document site conditions and worker behaviors to reduce risk on construction projects. Record basic site details, then assess PPE by category for head, eyes and face, hearing, hands, and feet. Review fall protection and guardrail systems, scaffolding, ladders, and mobile equipment such as bobcats and excavators. Check fire and electrical safety, hand and power tools, and confirm tools are correct for the task, used properly, and in good condition. Observe body positioning, lifting, reaching, pushing and pulling, and pinch point awareness. Verify housekeeping, slips and trips, orderly storage, clear aisles, and floor openings. Capture procedures, safety huddles and toolbox talks, pace of work, visual focus, and communications, then add signatures to complete the observation.
